My computer does not boot in Normal mode. It boots up but then it gets to the Windows XP screen and then it craps out. There is activity light for the hard drive but nothing on the monitor and the monitor light goes from green to amber as if the computer is hibernating. the last time it worked correctly was before i put the computer in hibernation mode after that the computer does not boot in normal mode.
Are there any suggestion to correct the problem?

The problem you're describing is so generic it could mean anything. What I'd try is to use safe mode or a boot disk to log on and disable hibernation (display settings >> screen saver tab >> "Power..." button >> hibernation tab >> uncheck enable hibernation support). Really, try to do anything you can to get inside windows and disable hibernation, then restart computer normally.

You can turn off hibernation from the command line by typing "powercfg /hibernate off".

See how far that gets you.

Can you start in Safe Mode? If not you can try the Recovery Console and try running ChkDsk /r from the prompt.
