Windows XP Media Center edition

Okay y'all, what do you think of this XP Media Center?

Does it work as MS advertises?

What kind of DVD recording options have people used (can you create a DVD library for yourself that you can watch anywhere?).

How does the networking portion work if I want to integrate it with the rest of my home network (for example to have access to my extensive iTunes library?)

Cool stuff? Lame stuff? Other alternatives?
