Hi,
haven't been here for a while, but you have helped me before. When I boot up windows xp home and then go to my user I get this message.

Error loading:
C/windows/system32/bridge.dll
The specified module could not be found.

It's obviously a missing dll file- i think. what to do i do because it then goes and shuts down the computer. I have my own copy of Xp- do i find the file from there or what? Can you help.

It is malware. Run Hijack This (see faq608-4650) and remove these two entries:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9C691A33-7DDA-4C2F-BE4C-C176083F35CF} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL",Load

The run cwshredder (see the FAQ linked above)
