My Win XP freeze in 1-2 minutes when first startup, sometimes, it gives noise. Restart pc will resolve the problem.
After I reformatted pc, the problem persisted.

Is this a hard drive problem or some other parts? Thanks for your feedback.

When you say formatt, did you actually format the drive like completely erase it then install a fresh copy of windows or did you just install over the old one?

I have had a lot of trouble with a PC which had a faulty Video Card. It was the faulty memory of the Video Card that caused the problems.
Also be sure your main memory is O.K.

Hi electronicsfreak,
To respond your question, I completely erased it then install a fresh copy of windows XP. Your further feedback is greatly appreciated.

I had a friends computer that did something like this. He had in his bios set to fastest standards, when I changed it to safest settings and then adjusted his settings in it to be as they should be it stopped. So give that a try.
