We have installed a full enterprise version of XP on a number of workstations that should really have the retail XP Upgrade Academic Edition installed. We now have all the new XP AE upgrade keys to use, but the system won't accept them (using the various standard key change methods). There must be some attribute of a full XP version that prevents it from accepting an upgrade key. Is there a registry setting that we can change, or another utiltiy that will change a full version into a retail upgrade? It is a complex site, so trying to avoid full re-install.
Cheers
JF
