I've a big problem.
I'm a administrator of a Windows XP machine with Corel 10 installed. I only can run Corel 10 when I'm logged on as an administrator. As a normal user I get an error message.
Different. Some programs of Corel 10, for example RAVE
show his banner, than it close automatically.
When I start Corel Draw I only get a message window with no text, and the program breaks.
But when I'm loged on as an administrator I can run all the Corel Programs without Problems.
Is your "Normal" User a Computer administrator also, or is it limited. If it is limited, I would change it to admin. This is differnt than the administrator logon, and unless you have need to be fearful of the actions you yourself may make, there probably isn't much need to keep your "normal" user to limited status.
You have to give the user permissions in XP, and you have to install the program for each user... don't sweat it, it just shoves in the icons and sets up corel temp files and user files for them. Actually, from memory, when you are installing you can set up for multiple users, but you may not have noticed it. Oops! I've joined a club that'll have me as a member?
Did you install Service pack 1 and service pack 2 for Corel Draw 10? You need to install the service pack this corrects any problems you may be having. Problems stem from you not having write access to the root of the drive. Corel Draw uses the root of the drive for temp files, Service pack 2 corrects this.
