I have Samba 2.2.7-4.8 on a Redhat 8.0 box. I have set up various printer queues under Linux and made them available to Network users. I have noticed than whenever a user of a Windows XP machine uses the printers they go stalled (the Windows XP user does not have to print anything, they just have to look at the printer).

Windows 2000 and NT 4.0 users use the queues with no problem at all.

Even though the print queue then looks stalled to all users it is not actually stalled as you can still print to it from anywhere and the jobs print fine.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Lee.
