I have a VFP5 exe program running on Windows XP with the Security from the Domain Controller control the user as a normal user (non admin on local machine) However, the exe won't run on Windows 2000 with the same Security from the Domain Controller. I guess it will be a local directory access right issue. Anyone has experience with this and how to solve this problem?

What's the error message you're getting when attempting to run the exe on W2K?

I would guess that the software is probably trying to write to somewhere other than 'my documents' or 'program files'.

It's possible that a service pack has been applied to the workstation which 'locks down' access to the hard drive - restricting non admin users from writing, for example, to the root of the C: drive.

Try opening that access up and then tighten it down till the program stops working.

Good luck

The error message is "Error initializing Application object" or "Can not open table.." I check the source code and the user has the read and write access to the table that the program open. Thanks
