Hello all! I'm have a Windows XP PC with 2 NIC cards each one connected to VLAN 192 and the other connected to VLAN 1. Each VLAN has a different IP Address subnet

VLAN 192: 192.168.12.2
interface FastEthernet0/23
switchport access vlan 192
switchport mode access
no ip address
end

VLAN 1: 172.16.1.99
interface FastEthernet0/3
switchport access vlan
switchport mode access
no ip address
end

know for some strange reason I can see both IP addresses in each VLAN. for example in VLAN 192 I can ping 172.16.1.99
Why? I really don't undestand what is going on. I check the XP computer and it does not seem to have anything configured to permit traffic between NIC but I honestly don't know. I'll really apreciate a little help on this.

thanks in advance

bantrab,

if you have a vlan router in your network that router will route from one vlan to another.

to prevend this you should put access lists on the vlan interfaces.

If you do not have a vlan router then please give us a more detailed description of your network.
