So far, I have not been able to get a client to run with our new AMD64 and Novell 6.0. There was no Novell Client from Microsoft present with the OS, and there seems to be not compatible client available from Novell, so just How do you get it to talk to Novell???

Frustrated Novell User, soon to move to Micerosoft 2003 Server!

CIFS. No client required. Look it up and it will make you happy.

Is it just that client issue that is frustrating? or whats the deal.... A lot of people thing MS can solve all their problems, but it just shifts the problem into a different arena and then compounds them a little.

Plus you have to increase support staff to accomodate the extra problems that MS gives you!

As Marv said, CIFS is your best bet right now.

try to remember, the 64-bit edition of XP Pro was JUST released, and was in beta for some time. There are also MANY MANY articals that will tell you to wait for the release of Longhorn if you want a more stable OS to work with than the 64-Bit pro currently avilable.

Novell is working on a client, it currently is in closed beta with no release date as of yet. Sign up for their closed beta program to get a copy to play with.
