Quick background; I was burning a newly created windows vista ISO file onto a disk, the burn was almost complete but at the "finalizing disk" stage at 99% it gave me a write error. I hit eject and the disc came out and went back in within seconds, I tried again and the same thing happened. Then the trouble started. My computer froze and upon restart it went the the window load screen and the black. The next restart bright me to the black screen telling me to repair the computer, I choose this option and it went to a grey screen and froze. I read some ideas and tried going into safe mode. Once it begins it goes through a bunch of files and evidently stops at crcdisc.sys same thing in safe mode network and command prompt. I don't have any discs for this computer and am at a loss as to how to get this fixed. Also my disc drive will not open and give me back the disc i was previously trying to burn, even with the realese with the pin... Please help!!!!!

Thanks in advance for any posts!

First thing to try, is remove the data and power cables from the dvd drive, now use the pin and remove the disk. Try booting the computer without the dvd drive connected, what happens?

That worked , it came right back up after the disc was out. Thanks a lot buddy your a life saver!
