Hello everyone.

I have Windows VISTA and I'm trying to log in to Debug to use the assembly language for educational purposses.
unfortunately, it doesnt allow to me to log in and gives me an error

C:\>debug
'debug' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

how can I solve this problem.

Regards

[tt]C:\>debug
-quit

C:\>which debug.exe
C:\Windows\system32\debug.exe[/tt]

I have vista home premium.
Perhaps it's just another one of those version dependent things.

ya the exe file located in the system32 is not included in the VISTA nor the exe file for telnet too.

Debug.exe
Telnet.exe

is there anyway to download them from microsoft website , i mean download them offically?

Regards

20 years ago, when the OS was DOS and it fitted in less than 64K, DEBUG was an OK tool to use.

But nowadays, it's like using a teaspoon to go digging in an open cast mine.

Free Telnet

Free Assembler

Free Debugger (which knows a hell of a lot more about your OS than DEBUG does)
