If I'm using WSUS to push out selected windows updates do I have to restrict all users from then doing any updates on there own?

Thanks

You don't HAVE TO. But it's not a bad idea. If they are just USERS on their local machine, that's a start.

I have restricted them, simple enough to do using group policy. Just makes it cleaner imo.

The only thing you need to think of is for remote (laptop) users who may not receive group policy. It can be beneficial to have their machines set so that they can download updates in an emergency.
