Windows Update

I have a Dell Optiplex running Windows 2000 SP4. I ran Windows Update to check for any Critical Updates, I've downloaded all Critical Updates. Everything appears up to date, bbbuuuuttttt.... When I try to update to IE6 from IE5.5 I get a message telling me that I have Updates that need a reboot to be completed. I reboot the Computer and try to continue with the IE 6 download and get the same message. Anyone experience the same problems or know what I might need to do to get the Updates to recognize the reboots? I'm trying to load AutoCAD LT 2004 and it requires IE6.
