Windows Update reports No Updates Available

After a clean install of Windows 98 SE, I go to Windows Update and get the message "No updates availble at this time". I checked Microsoft and did their suggestion for checking the version number in the Registry (4.10.2222). Does anyone know why the Windows update reports this message after scanning my PC.

4.10.2222 might look like it's refering to a date, but it's actually a version number of the program/driver/DLL.

Thanks for the information. As it turned out, the date on this computer was 2025. Once set to the correct date, the update worked OK.
