If I readvertise a windows update package how will systems react which already recieved this update?

Whats the best practices for adding follow up updates? should I add to the origional packages and re-advertise or create a new package.

The client will only run the patches it needs, however, if you don't run the package from your dp, it will download the whole thing to the cache every time it needs a new patch if it is one all inclusive patch. So depending on how you do things, you might make a package for each month and perhaps a baseline that goes back a year or so. I usually set clients up to run a baseline that goes back 6 months to a year, and have monthly releases run for 2 months.

(the baseline also has a lot to do with how much the images are updated with current patches, so if you only make a new image every two years then have your baseline go back two years)
