Hi everyone,
How can I carry out a windows update on 60 XP machines without having to go round them one by one?Is it possible? Has Group Policy a function which can help?

Regards,
BigDirk.

You can create an .MIS of the update and place it in a share. Go to the software option in computers or users in the GPO. Place your new .MIS into the software folder of your GPO and apply security accordingly. When the user or computer logs on it can be loaded by going to add\remove programs. There are a lot more options , but this will give you a basic idea of one way to deploy software without going to each machine.

Setup an internal MS Software Update Services Server...

Looks like I needed more coffe...I meant create an .MSI image. Have fun.
