Windows Update not working

Using Win2K SP4, IE 6 - I try to go to windows update and once I hit Scan for Updates I get:

Windows Update Error 0x800C0005. I've tried everything from registering dll's to checking all sorts of other settings.

No luck as yet. We do proxy through a SonicWall but other machines can hit WinUpdate.

Anyone else run into this?

Try reinstalling BITS 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1

Nearly every update problem I've had has been fixed running this.

'0x800C0005' corresponds with the message "Cannot locate the Internet server or proxy server."

. Make sure in Internet Options, Advanced, that SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 are enabled;

. Make sure under Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, that every element on this page is configured exactly like that of a working machine;

. Then explicitly set for WinHTTP the proxy configuration settings: Start, Run, proxycfg -U
