Does anybody know of any reliable windows application that can remotely control or terminal session a apple computer running OS X 10.3? Any directions, thank you.

If you have the apple computers running Apple Remote Desktop then you can use a windows version of VNC to connect.

Apple Remote Desktop (a commercial application) is not required for VNC on Mac. You can search for freeware VNC servers and clients for both Windows and Mac OS.

Although I have not tried, you could probably open up the Mac to telnet access as well if you fancy low-bandwidth command-line operation.

I'm actually curious about the question though - Apple's literature seems to imply that Remote Desktop uses the VNC protocol. Is this true?

I have used both Remote Desktop and VNC but have not compared the two on the same computer so I could not say if it really is the same animal. Remote Desktop adds more functionality than basic VNC.

You may use VNC on the PC and Chicken of the VNC on the Mac.
