I hope I am in the right forum. I have a general question that requires some guidance.

Is it possible to run Terminal Services on Windows Server 2008 with Office 2010 BUT have Outlook run in the Cloud?

In other words we want to keep Terminal Services for Office 2010 but outsource Outlook 2010 to the cloud.
Thanks
Dom

When you say "have Outlook run in the Cloud" do you mean use the web version of Outlook? Or have the mail be stored in "the Cloud" and have the Outlook 2010 that comes with Office 2010 connect to your hosted (cloud-based) Exchange server to access the mail?

I think you are moving from on-premise Exchange to Exchange in "the Cloud" and you want to know if you need to change your terminal servers. No, you don't have to stop using Outlook on your terminal server, but you would need to reconfigure the Outlook profiles on the terminal server so that they access the mailbox that's being hosted in the cloud instead of trying to access a mailbox in your locally hosted Exchange server.

Thank you for your reply. Yes you are correct I am looking to move from on-premise Exchange to Exchange in "the Cloud" and I wanted to know if I need to change my terminal server.

Your response was right on and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Changing the Outlook profiles to point to the cloud exchange makes sense.
Thanks Again
Dom
