Hello all,
****THE FTP ISSUE**: I appreciate you'll reading this. I can't seem to LIST the contents of my FTP server from within my LAN. I'm running a NAT enabled router that is fully open, and all of my HOSTS and FTP servers are behind that router thus making up my home LAN. From my laptop I can access my FTP server ( a separate box) just fine. From my Desktop, I can login, but I can't list the contents of the FTP no matter what I do, I've tried both PASSV and RANDOM modes and many different FTP Clients but only my laptop can access the FTP client, not my desktop computer and that's the computer I need to access it! Could this be a security setting or something enabled on my desktop that I'm not aware of? Oh yea, I don't Have ICS/ICF services enabled on any machines on my LAN.
*** THE NETWORK PROBLEM**: From the same desktop computer I can't see anybody else in the LAN, The only computer listed in the workgroup is my desktop when Viewing from my desktop but with any other computer on the LAN, the workgroup functionality works fine. What gives? The workgroup name is the same on every computer and ICS/ICF isn't on anywhere on the LAN. Remember this is the same computer that has problems listing contents of my FTP server as stated in the previous paragraph.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Croag
