windows task manager's going berserk..

uuummm....my task manager appears quite normally when i activ8 it but for only 1 or 2 secs. then it disappears. y is it doing dis? and how can i fix it? (to stay and appear for as long as i want it 2)

1. Do a thorogh virus scan.
2. Do a thorough trojan scan:

3. If still no joy, Start, Run, sfc /scannow
4. If still no joy, print out and follow exactly the instuctions for reinstalling XP:

Ditto on the virus scan. I believe it's Klez that does this.
