I have to computers. The first has Windows XP HOME edition and the second has PRO.
When windows shuts down the PRO shuts down in around 10 seocnds. In the PRO computer the user is logged in as ADMIN with no password.
The HOME edition seems to take forever and usually takes 45 seconds to shut down. Windows HOME always hangs on the "Windows is Shutting Down" screen and eventually does shut down. There is no login user for the HOME version.
I've tried numerous registry, defrag, spyware, and virus utilites with no luck in speeding the shut down time.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to increase the shut down time for my HOME edition?
