Hello All,

I'm trying to access my windows server 2008 r2 via remote desktop client on the administrator account and I'm getting an error message saying "remote session was disconnected because there are no remote desktop license servers available to provide a license"

Although I don't have any rdp licenses, I thought the administrator was able to access the server without a license. How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Sounds like you need to turn on the remote control settings, instead of RDP.

Right-click Computer --> Remote Settings -> Click the second or third radio button under Remote Desktop.

Administrator can have up to two sessions by default without using RDP proper.

Just my 2¢
