Hi. Does anyone know whether, if I download and install an evaluation edition of Windows Server 2008 R2, I can subsequently upgrade it to a licensed copy?

The likelihood is that the licensed copy would be purchased as an OLP (open license) copy.

Once the licensed copy was obtained, would I have to

a) simply enter a product code/key and activate?
b) run some sort of upgrade program?
c) uninstall and reinstall from scratch?

Servers in question are likely to be running IIS or SQL Server, and possibly other apps. Is it possible to generalise about the implications for these?

Any advice - especially pointers to any MS docs on the subject - would be much appreciated.
