Hello,
I am trying to setup a Windows Server 2008 as web servers. I have two network interfaces, one for public/outside access and the other for private network. I would like to apply different firewall rules to different network interfaces. This was simple enough with Windows 2003, but I found no way to make firewall rule apply to a specific interface.
Am I missing something? Or what would be the preferred way of web server setup with multiple network interfaces?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, V.

i do not think the windows firewall has this ability. you will need to install a 3rd party app on the box or an appliance in front of the webserver

Thanks for the response. I did open a ticket with Microsoft Support and they conformed that this is not a feature in Windows 2008 even though it was doable in Windows 2003. I hope they will add it back in at some point.
Thanks, V.

i hope they dont...microsoft is in the OS business...not the firewall business...
