I have recently starting having to right click and then scroll to "Open" any folders.. instead of just double clicking, which now opens the "search" function.. I used to just have to double click.. I have looked all through the folder options and CANNOT find the damn setting that will set it back.. the restore defaults didnt work either.. anyone got any ideas???...

Did you recently install desktop search or any other such utility?

my bad.. I didnt see a 2003 forum, so I posted it in the closest thing I could find..

no I havent installed anything recently.

I see NOW, that you have to click "view all"... to find the right forum... sorry about that.

you could also try adjusting the double click speed for your mouse. this wouldn't be the first time I've seen this happen.
