Hi,
Does anyone know if you can upgrade a Windows 2000 Server to a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition?? I've tried but it doesn't give me the option to upgrade only a new installation. When I insert a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition it does give me the upgrade option. Anyone knows about this??

Is the 2000 box Standard or Enterprise?

If the 2000 server is 2000 Advanced Server you can only upgrade to 2003 Enterprise.
You are only allowed to upgrade to an equivalent or more powerful OS, ie 2000 Server to 2003 Enterprise or Standard is allowed. 2000 Advanced Server to 2003 Enterprise is allowed but 2000 Advanced Server to 2003 Standard is not.

Thanks Guys, but I think I've found out why I didn't get the upgrade function. The thing is I am using a Windows Server 2003 OEM CD and you can not use this version to upgrade only to install. Only the retail version allows to get the upgrade option. Thanks again.
