We are running Windows 2003 Small Business Server and recently switched from a netgear (no wireless) to a linksys wireless router. The existing LAN ip address was 192.168.0.X, but has changed to 192.168.1.X and the company web does not display anymore.

I use to be able to type the ip address of the server and the company web would come up. Now it just says this:

You are not authorized to view this page
The Web server you are attempting to reach has a list of IP addresses that are not allowed to access the Web site, and the IP address of your browsing computer is on this list.

Please try the following:

* Contact the Web site administrator if you believe you should be able to view this directory or page.

HTTP Error 403.6 - Forbidden: IP address of the client has been rejected.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Technical Information (for support personnel)

* Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 403.
* Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled About Security, Limiting Access by IP Address, IP Address Access Restrictions, and About Custom Error Messages.

Could anyone help me please?

I would check within IIS to see what IP it is publishing the site on. I would guess it is the old IP.

Thanks.

Sorry I don't know what or where that is. Could you tell me where that is and how I can change it?

Administrative Tools > IIS Manager (or Internet Services Manager)

Thanks I found it, but where do I go to check and change the ip address to the correct one?

You need to right click on your company site, probably called companyweb. Select Properties and then ensure in the IP information it has the IP of the server it is hosted on.

Ok this is kind of weird, but First problem I changed the ip address and now can type in 192.168.1.11 and it brings me to the company web when I am on the server. When I type company web in the interenet explorer it just says page cannot be displayed. On the client computers I can type companyweb or 192.168.1.11 and it will bring me to the company web.

Second problem is that once I am at the company web it has:

Is your web server set up with a static IP address? Have you changed the subnet or the default gateway? Is IIS setup to only serve one IP address, or is the website set to "All Unassigned"? If you are accessing it from outside do you have port 80 forwarded to the webserver?

How is dhcp being handled? Automatically by the router? Are your client computers on the same subnet, same gateway?
