I know the commands FC and COMP but I'd like to do it in windows script.

I'm downloading a virusdefenitionfile and want to compare that file with the file allready in use for distribution to all workstations.

Please help me to compare two files and give an errorlevel so the files can be replaced or moved to different places.

thanx

when applying the vir definition file , the file itself have option to check if there is need to install it ..

try : filename.exe /? to see some command line oprions of it ...

I know that mcaffe and nav have it
