We have a VBscript on a W2K3R2 that has been in use for several years. Not that it's relevant but the script searches folders for software installers and updates a web page on which users can click to install the software it finds. Running the script usually takes only a few seconds.
Recently the script just stopped updating the web page. Watching Task Manager we see the CPU increase and stay that way and the process wscript take all the CPU and it never goes away.
Updates haven't been done on this computer in quite some time so it's unlikely that a recent update caused it to stop.
Moving the script (and redirecting the locations in it) to a Win7 PC works fine. But running the same script on the W2K3R2 server fails.
Any ideas why?
