I have a SCOM 2007 agent installed on one of my Windows 2000 Server SP4 domain controllers. I'm getting the following error in the System Log:
The description for Event ID ( 1024 ) in Source ( Server Administrator ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: C:\WINNT\System32\WBEM\WinMgmt.exe, dcsgen32.dll, C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\WINNT\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\;C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\oma\bin.
I am also getting numerous events for Windows Script Host Event ID 1000: Attempt to execute Windows Script Host while it is disabled.
I have been having some authentication issues with this DC and they went away after I rebooted the server. The Wihdows Script Host errors also went away after the reboot.
Could the agent be causing this problem on the server? I have had this issue before and it went away after a reboot. Can anyone advise?
