I need help.

I have recently been looking into upgrading our companies network from Windows 98 Client to Client, to an all new Server-Client network. I am inexoribly being pushed into buying Small Business Server 2000 for a number of reasons, however I really want to dump it in favour of using Linux, which I know to be certainly cheaper, but also because it's not as bloated.

But as I have said, I am limited to my choice, as we currently run Sage Line 50 Accounting, and my own developed Access Database for purchase ordering. Were it not for these two pieces of software, and for the fact that the users at our company are completely IT unfriendly, then I would definitely make the change.

I'm assuming that their are distributions of Linux which can provide the same services of SBS such as Exchange Server for shared contacts, IIS, E-Mail distribution services, etc.?

I have never used Linux before, and this is one of my major problems, as well as the software that could not be used.

Am I incorrect in assuming that Sage & Access applications are not available? Are there any specific solutions people could suggest? And there any PC manufacturers/network builders out there in the UK that can provide and set up such a network?
