Hi all...Hopefully this is a simple question.
I'm using SBS2008 for a small business and cant get the server to recognize wireless PCs. All Domains and Passwords are correct and I've completed the "Connection Tool" per instructions.
The Server sees the laptop and says that it's "Online-but unable to query information." The laptop cannot see the server at all. Also, I've installed the "Wireless Option" on the Server.

The laptop is connected via NETGEAR wireless to a Gigabit Switch (which the server and other LAN PCs are connected to). I've tried to open all needed firewalls and ports on the Router as well but still have no solution.
Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Thanks...

Server - Windows SBS 2008
Laptops - Vista Business with SP1
Wireless Device - Netgear WNDR3300
Switch - D-Link Gigabit Router (DGL-41ll)
Provider - Verizon Fios

Did you disable DHCP on the wireless device? Can the laptop browse the Internet?

If you do an IPCONFIG /ALL on both server and laptop what are the results?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
