Hi
I have developed a front end/back end database and am now testing on user's PCs.
Problem is, I'm working in Ecuador where they use the comma as a currency/decimal separator (as in $1.000,00 or 1234,75). So this is the Windows Regional Setting in most of my users' PCs.
One of the database tasks is to generate email address lists which are then imported into MailBomber. MailBomber likes delimited text files so each list is produced using a TransferText macro. It worked beautifully on my laptop but my Regional Settings are US.
On my colleague's PC, running the macros produces "Text file specification field separator matches decimal separator or text delimiter".
I don't really have the option of making people use "foreign" Windows Regional Settings so I need to change the macro. I've tried export specs with a semicolon instead of a comma and I think MailBomber will accept these but I can't get the macros to work.
Has anyone come across this type of problem, and am I barking up the wrong tree? Alternatively, if anyone's up for helping, I'll post the error messages I'm getting from the specs.
Thanks in anticipation
