Hi!

I created subscriptions for my reports delivered by Windows file share. I used my windows log in username and password as credentials to access the folder for my reports.

Part of our company's security policy is to update password periodically. When my password gets updated my subscription credentials becomes invalid causing failure run for all my subscriptions with file share delivery.

Can I get away from using my windows username and password in setting up subscriptions with file share delivery?
We're using SSRS 2005 and windows xp.

Thanks!

You can set up a generic userid which can be set to not have it's password expire. Give this userid the permissions it needs on file share / SQL server to be able to run the subscription and you won;t have this issue

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
