Respected Gentlemen,

I am testing an application using a NT Server together with
Workstation NT

I copied them it programs and files for the server, I created a shortcut in the
workstation.

The performance is giving rage even

Which the directing ones what would use to improve that?
Why in the project is the performance great, and are the data in the server?
I don't use Cobol.dir

Some suggestion?

what COBOL vendor and version are you using, and the OS, both server and workstation (e.g. NT4, W2000)

And if you wish place the question again in Portuguese

Are your files on a drive-mapping (G: = \\SERVER\Path, shortcut to G:\application.exe)),
or on an UNC path (direct shortcut to \\SERVER\Path\application.exe) ?
This makes a huge difference in speed, UNC path being *much* slower.
