Windows NT--Error writing to LPT1...

Error writing to LPT1... Filename... The security account database contains an internal inconsistency.

Can't print to the local printer. I get the error above. However, I can print to network and remote printers.

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem.

Please help!!

Have you tried removing the printer completely and reinstalling? if you have already tried that let me know what type of printer and drivers you are using. David Moore

if you have installed a NetworkPrinter like HP over NDPS you must rename the file hpdcmon.dll in the system directory and restart the computer.
