windows nt 4 and Sareen office talk

I hope some body can help me, we run nt 4 on our server and I havent got a clue about it im a complete beginer. Is there any books or sites that I can learn more about the way it works in plain english.

Does any one use the contact managment program Office Talk, because we are having big problems, it keeps crashing and marking its self as read only in the propertys section of the database. any ideas?
