I'm sorry if this has been answered - the Tek Tips forum search is not working for me...

Has anyone had success running a softphone on a Windows Mobile pocket PC with wifi? I understand that there is a license needed to allow 3rd party devices to connect to my IP 406.

Thanks!

yes, you need a license "IP400 IP Endpoint 174956" i´ve never done this, i´m looking for an h323 softphone for an Nokia e61i with symbian s60 3rd edition on it. does anyone knows one? thanks

Sorpio is absolutely correct. If it's not an IPO phone, you need an IP Endpoints license. For both:

On my Windows Mobile 5 (wm5) I have used SJPhone (do a search to find the website). I believe it's free. It also supports SIP as well as H.323. It takes some time and patience to set it up. However it worked pretty well at the time.
