Windows Millenium error after installing

I have a machine that Norton 2005 for Windows Millenium was installed on. After rebooting, the security is very restricted. I press the start button and nothing happens. I press the Internet Explorer button and it tells me it's not available. I try to open Norton for the toolbar and it just hangs. I also get some errors about ActiveX controls. I searched Norton site for ActiveX error message but any possible fix needs me having more access to the computer.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Can you right click and disable Norton on the taskbar by the clock?

Or try booting into safe mode and changing the settings or removing it.

Windows Millenium Edition......WME....also stands for Windows Mistake Edition. That OS was always buggy. Would strongly recommend upgrading to XP.
