In the last few days Windows Messenger has been very slow to open for all users in my orgainization. At first it seemed like Outlook and Messenger were slow but when I removed the Messenger Integration from Outlook it worked fine. When a computer is booted messnger signs in and looks like its ok but when you click on the Icon in the system tray it takes about 2-5 minutes to come up. Then when you first try to send a message to a contact it takes about 1-2 minutes for the message dialog to come up. After the first message is sent it will work fine until the user logs off. I have not made any changes to the Exchange server lately. We are using a mixture of Windows Messenger 4.6, 4.7, and 5.0. All are having the same problem. I cannot find much help or documentation on Exchange and Windows messenger so I don't really know where to start. There doesn't seem to be much setup in system manager so I am at a loss on where to look. It worked fine for 2 years since inintial installation. We are Running Windows 2000 Server SP-3 with Exchange 2000 Server SP-2. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
