I saved a video in Premiere 6.0 in Windows Media format
(filename.wmv)
I would like to know if I can put this video on my web site.
I have tried all kinds of methods without success.
Will this format load on a web site and play without streaming. Or is it specifically for streaming.
Many Thanks for any help.
Wallie

How in the world did you open a .wmv in Premiere 6? I didn't think they were compatable.

I imported an *.avi file then saved it under
Advanced Windows Media.

I'm no expert but if I remember correctly WMV files can only be streamed if they're encoded using a constant bitrate, but that doesn't mean that all CBR WMVs are streamable. If you just put a link to your WMV file on a web page it'll be downloaded when someone clicks on it. If you want it to stream there's extra work involved and your best bet for that is to check the microsoft media site (sorry, I can't remember the URL).
