I have 2 hard drives in my pc, a Maxtor 40 gig 5600 rpm drive and a Hitachi 80 gig 7200 drive. Recently I decided to use the faster Hitachi as my main drive to get the performance boost. I used a Maxtor utility to copy the contents of my Maxtor Drive over to my Hitachi drive, and now everything is working great. The only odd thing is that any file that is associated with Windows media player doesn't show the icon for media player. It plays just fine...I'm just wondering what happened to that icon. Anyone have any ideas?

not sure what would cause that, but try this to fix it

-my computer
-tools
-folder options
-file types

click on the file type (wma, avi, mpg, etc) that you normally open with windows media player

-advanced
-change icon

then browse to c:\program files\windows media player\wmplayer.exe

-open

and then pick whichever icon you want associated with it.
hopefully that'll work. ;)

Thanks ade099. I've already done what you said to fix the problem...but your information was correct.
