windows media player hiccups ?

Until Recently(after changing popup kiler to Filter gate) I started getting Hiccups in my Windows Media Player while watching videos. I checked another media divx player and it did the same thing. I have run Scandisk and Defrag to see if maybe they would help, but still the Hiccups continue only in Video,the Audio in the Video plays without hesitation. Any Suggestions, The Goobster

Are you running any programs that will kill spyware? It sounds like maybe your new popup stop is doing this. Run Msconfig and do let it start. Try your video and if it runs without the popup stop an as you say it doesn't hiccup there is your problem. If not I would download Pest Partrol or Spybot. Tnen run them and see how many things get killed.
