Has anyone seen this one before?

-1072885305: the audio codec identified by the format tag 130 is required to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, click web help.

One of my users is try to watch a streaming media presentation and gets this error. The user connects to the media, the media buffering completes, and then the error pops up.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are simply lacking the codec required for that video format. If you find out what format it's in you will be able to download the single codec, else a codec pack (k-lite mega codec pack etc) should do it.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

Grenage,

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it and several other things a try but they all failed. While troubleshooting this issue I found several problems with the OS. I ended up giving her a rebuilt PC to correct all of her issues.

Thanks again,

Good to hear it's sorted now :)
