Hi!

I've installed on a laptop winxp pro sp2 (fresh installation). However, WMP doesn't play any type of file (avi, mp3, wmv, etc, etc...). It always gives the message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."

I've installed realplayer, quicktime, divxplayer and powerdvd that work fine.

I've already tried to uninstall WMP10, but WMP9 acts the same. I've even installed the microsoft codec pack, although it shouldn't be necessary to play mp3 and wmv and wma's...

Any thoughts?
