windows media player & real player

We are running Windows 2000 Server with IIS. With workstations running Windows 2000.

My problem is that Windows Media Player & Real Player won't connect to the network to play video's/stream data.
What are the settings supposed to be set at in the programs (I have tried all different configurations) and what are the settings supposed to be in IIS. I have even followed instructions from Real Player website for how to configure IIS but still no luck. They both say "unable to connect to network"

Any ideas would be great.
