I just had to go back to a previous state of my PC using XP Home Edition, to solve a problem with a scanner driver... the problem is that I cannot save music to my PC from a CD because it tells me there's an error: the licenses on the multimedia files are corrupted... Error # COOD2754
I don't want to reinstall the whole computer just because of this...

Incase this is just a corrupt file in windows media player you could try another earlier restore point.

You could also try System File Checker (sfc /scannow).

As a last resort you could repair your installation of windows by reloading it over itself.

That said, you could have run into a licence problem with the music on the CD's you are playing. Have a look here to see what I mean.
