I have an HP computer that came loaded with Media Center. It has several composite and S-Video hook ups as well as firewire. I can capture footage through the firewire, but not the composite cables. I am capable of seeing the videos through the component 2 channel if I set the TV up that way, but I cannot record with it. I am using premiere pro 2.0 to capture and edit the footage.
How can I capture analog footage with this set up?
Do I need my external capture card to capture footage through the firewire port, or is there a way to use the composite connections that are already there that say input?
Do I need an upgrade in some of my drivers?
Should media center be able to capture analog footage or it that the job of other drivers and software?
